Women’s Group

Julia Gresser, LCSW and Amy Emler-Shaffer, MA currently have two openings in their on-going, open-ended Women’s Group. The group meets on Tuesday evenings from 5:45 to 7:45. Age range is currently 27 to 51.

Women discuss a wide range of issues, including: work issues; parenting; marital/partner relationships; extended family; self-esteem; mood challenges; spirituality; and gender issues. Most insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted.

We are privileged to have Jane Okech, Ph.D, Associate Professor in Counselor Education
and Counseling and Coordinator of the Clinical Mental Counseling Track, present our 4
hour Ethics Conference this year. The topic will be Dual Relationships, from both the
therapeutic and legal perspectives. She will also address dual relationships in the supervision relationship and the therapeutic relationship. There will be a didactic component, as well as plenty of opportunity for personal exploration and questions.
