Membership Benefits

Joining and becoming a part of VTMHCA is an important step forward in your career. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Vermont, you are now among a group of clinicians who value their training and work. Historically, we have been an Association that strives to enhance our identities as mental health professionals in the field. With your membership, you are supporting the efforts of those who have gone before you, those with you now, and those who in the future, will make a difference. Your membership does and will have a significant impact.

Together, we are able to stay the course to promote and advance our profession. With collective energy and influence, we will continue to accomplish our goals. The wonderful aspect of being in Vermont is that we are not alone in our Association. We have the gift of professional alliances with other associations, creating a strong and influential coalition of mental health professionals. Together we work on and promote legislative initiatives, work to keep managed care in check, promote high and quality standards for licensure, and provide conferences and training to maintain licensure so that we may practice our profession in a free and open marketplace.
